There are many people today including youths who our followed by the demons of stress, tension and many more. They are like shadows, following you everywhere.
We always wish for a solution to all our problems. But from personal experience it never comes. No matter how much we praise the lord.
And listening to a taunt which I guess all of us have heard atleast once in our lifetimes from our parents”when we were your age we used to do double the amount of work you children do these days.”That people is like the icing on the cake.Isn’t it?
But as it is said by the great minds we always search for something whose solution was just right infront of us.Well in this case,I agree.
I know it may sound a bit irritating but believe me it surely works wonders.
What is meditation exactly?Ever noticed yourself that when you are frustrated on something or someone and when you cant vent out your anger, you tend to clench your fists and take deep breaths. Some people also start counting numbers from the back and some just put on feet thumping music to relax. What are you actually doing? You are controlling all your negative emotions by diverting your mind to something, anything.
This is what meditation is exactly but with more positive and prolonged effects.
The nerdish definition given by Wikipedia(our savior of all times) of meditation is that its a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness.
The term meditation refers to a broad variety of practices that includes techniques designed to promote relaxation, build internal energy or life force and develop compassion, love, patience, generosity and forgiveness. A particularly ambitious form of meditation aims at effortlessly sustained single-pointed concentration, single-pointed analysis, meant to enable its practitioner to enjoy an indestructible sense of well-being while engaging in any life activity.
When for something you require to be calm,I can lose my patience real fast because I want results sooner than ever but with time I have realized that good things usually takes time. Effects of meditation are one of those good things. It helps you to release all your negative energy and chanelises your positive energy towards betterment of life.Too philosophical?Well lets get practical then.
Better focus
Because meditation is a practice in focusing our attention and this actually improves our focus when we’re not even meditating, as well. (Now that is something.)
Less anxiety
The more we meditate, the less anxiety we have, and it turns out this is because we’re actually loosening the connections of particular neural pathways. As and when we meditate,we loosen these neural pathways and kind of become immune to the sensations of our surroundings.( This sounds bad, but it’s not.)
More creativity
The more we meditate, the more we become aware of our surroundings and absorb the sensations putting creativity carts of our minds in the gear.
Better memory
We are in dire need of these.Especially during exams.
Less stress
The less stress we have, more amount of work will get done on time leaving us some quality time to enjoy our lives.
More gray matter
lead to more positive emotions, longer-lasting emotional stability and heightened focus during daily life.
And last but not the least.Having a clear and an uncluttered mind.

So I believe that I have given you enough reasons to try this out.Atleast once.

But ofcourse some points to remember-
Do try to meditate regularly atleast for two mintes. These are not maggi noodles.they don’t give instant results.IT usually takes weeks or even a month. But it is something that you will never regret later.
Secondly never try it the moment you get up from the bed.As the moment your mind and body will start relaxing, you will fall asleep surely missing your first lecture.
I guess I have given you enough points to sit back and think on.So just lets for once try to get our lives back by leaving all the stress behind.Lets just focus on whats important and have a carefree life. After a few weeks of serious meditation you will find yourself to be more calmer mentally and emotionally and are more stable in your life which might help you to make some important decisions of your life.
Hence lets just quit this raging cold war with our minds and try to bring peace to ourselves.Dream of our having an easy life and thanking God for the decisions that you made.Afterall only when you are happy and have attained inner peace can you give something to others making your life worthwhile. And that sheer joy would be incomparable with any happiness and satisfaction in this world.
