10-Books-That-Inspired-Me

“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Being an undergraduate student, the importance of books is well known by me. Our life surely would be bland if we don’t have books to add spices in our lives. Being an avid reader, it is difficult for me to keep a good book down when I am half way through it. Books are the teachers who teach us some very important lessons in life by learning about someone else’s work and experience. It gives us hope and also proves to be a doorway to a world of imagination.

I guess we are all familiar with the fact that our lives is a race. Today in this fast growing  and mechanical world, it is difficult to keep up with things that make us happy. We fail to enjoy the joy given by the simplest of things, the innocence of our innermost childhood is lost.

Nevertheless,we have books available on different genres. From crime thrillers to romance, from fiction to books on self realization and development. They prove to be of great help for  a tired mind and soul. They give us a break from our tiresome hectic lives. It provides the best recreation ever known to man.

Books not only open doors to imagination but also bridges gaps between our body and our souls. In todays world,we are never satisfied with what we have,we always want more. This need of wanting more makes us sad and depressed when we are unable to achieve it. Books can tell us what we really want, what would make us happy and how to achieve that happiness. They give us an all new perspective to view our lives. They gives a sense of well being,of being at peace with ourselves.

These days,we often forget to smile. But after reading a good book, whether we are in a metro or a bus,at the office or the bustling roads, stuck in traffic or at home after a tiresome routine at work. One glimpse of that book in our inward eye,it provokes our thoughts and gives us a reason to smile without even knowing it.Books are stories which we watch on the films of our eyes.We tend to believe that we are a part of it and also feel the hurt, sadness, depression, curiosity, fear, joy, happiness, love, tranquility which the protagonist of the book feels. We lose track of time when we get engrossed in books,it takes our mind to a whole new level. It makes us forget our worries.

The books on self realization teaches us the most crucial lessons of our lives. Books gives us the courage to look into ourselves. To fight with the fear, the fear of not being enough, the fear of being rejected. It helps us to deal better with hardships in our lives. It helps us to heal ourselves from within.

Books are the selfless belongings a human can ever have. Books are faithful. They are never angry or frustrated. Always patient and kind and we would find them where we left them. They are immortal, they never die. The works of famous authors and poets stay with us in the form of their writings. For a reader,a book gives a sense of security as the books would never leave him or her.

Books makes us a better human being. They helps us to move on with life without asking for anything, without being greedy. They are the purest form of love.

Only a person who reads knows the true  value of books. Books are truly a man’s best friend, because without books we can never  be complete.

I suggest that we should not only reads novels but try our hands at poetry too because they are noble and beautiful imaginings clothed in lovely and musical language. The description of daffodils by William Wordsworth would surely make you fall in love with nature.

Fairytails not only tells us about the beautiful loving world but also teaches us that good always wins over evil.Plays by Shakespeare are still read by millions of people worldwide and helps us to understand the human psychology better, behaviours that are even observed in todays life.

Our lifestyle has changed so much in this past years that we rarely find time for ourselves but surely taking a break from this grueling routine and getting lost in a good book would be a wonderful way to rejoice without steping out of the four walls of our house.

Hence,I encourage each and every one of you to find time to read books i.e find time for yourselves.Get pulled in ecstacy the world of books offers and see your lives change for the better.
